There are reasons we fear the night. He might finally be one of them.
A goddess returned, a war between primal powers, and a prophecy to fulfill. That's a lot of crap to heap on anyone's plate, much less a former game programmer from Brooklyn. But that's exactly what Bill Ryder - gamer, geek, and legendary vampire - has to deal with.
Half his friends are missing and those that are left are mired in chaos. Sadly, Armageddon isn't about to give them a breather. The White Mother, a vile evil from the distant past, is amassing her forces to exterminate all who stand in her way - be they human, vampire, or other. Bill and his buddies need to find a way to stop her, while also keeping the other supernatural factions from tearing the world asunder.
It's finally time for Bill to master his powers, sort out his relationship woes, and figure out how to survive his date with destiny. Because if he can't get his act together, the curtain will fall and mankind will be forever plunged into everlasting darkness.
The Last Coven is the grand finale of the best-selling Tome of Bill saga, an urban fantasy series with a nasty overbite. If you like gory fight scenes, dorky humor, and Bigfoot-sized action, then you'll love Rick Gualtieri's latest installment in this kick-butt vampire series for the 21st century adult.

Had me from "The Tome to the "The Last". Have a love hate relationship with this series. LOVED every time a new one came out. Hated every time I finished it and had to wait for the next one. This book is "the end" maybe, sorta, kinda and the fans always hope for a NO it's not the end. Enjoyed the whole tying the story line up and really wasn't sure how this would play out being the "last" Coven. As always the three rules were followed: Snarky, Chaos, and Freaky. Just the way your fans like it. Hopefully this is not the end but if it is then it went out with a bang. Thanks for the best roller coaster freak show ride I've read in a while. Looking forward to the next great author monkey production! :-)Product details

The Last Coven The Tome of Bill Book 8 (Audible Audio Edition) Rick Gualtieri Christopher John Fetherolf Books Reviews
Twat Waffle!!
the word you need to learn when reading the end to this amazing story. Rick has delivered something truly joyfull . I admit I would have loved to see the story stretched a few more books. But the ending does feel natural, and it leaves it open for possibities in the future.. if you are a fan of the series- This ending will not dissapoint you.
Fantastic series great characters a whole lot of crazy funny smart ass nerds actually kicking ass now and then yea but mostly getting there ass kicked but never giving up great story and a great ending, and the sign of a truly great Author at the very end throwing in the final twist you never see coming. Thanks for the ride Rick.
Talk about going out with a bang! The fights just never stopped in this final book. I was sorry to reach the end, it was a wild, funny, snarky ride. Can I just say I loved James, and...*clutching chest*...! I did not see that twist at the end, and as for Gan - what is with that little chick? She is some scary sheila! Another three years...poor old Bill... I'm sad to say goodbye to such an awesome series, but so glad to have found it!
As most reviews have stated, I too, find myself sad that it's now over, but what a crazy wild ride it's been. Bill the Vampire was a novel I picked up as a "filler" between, as is said, more "serious" books. Five installments later, I was totally a part of Bill and Sally's insanely snarky partnership (and yes Gan, too) in their battles against one evil force after another. For each story I purchased both the and Audiobook version. Listening to Chris and his absolute spot on representation of the characters while reading--well, it just doesn't get any better than that! It will be a while before believing the wild ride is over, which we all hope it's not, but in the meantime, thanks, Rick, for the adventure.
Sniff . . . I just finished the final book in the Tome of Bill series. I’m usually not big on books that are part of a series, as so many authors tend to lose their edge after three or four books. Not Rick Gualtieri. He kept me laughing all the way to the end. The Last Coven will answer all your questions (even some you didn’t think you had), and the ending will surprise you.
Bravo Rick, on a job well done!

As much as in looked forward to this book I dreaded it as well. The Bill the Vampire series is one of my all time favorites and so as I'm always excited about a new one knowing this would be the last made it a double edged sword. That said, it was another excellent story by The Great Rick Gualtieri. I'm never happy when a series I enjoy ends and I have to say goodbye to the characters I've come to know but for me this was a satisfying way to wrap things up. I felt it carried the spirit of the novels to the very end. Although I'll always want more this final book was a great ending to a fun and entertaining saga. Thanks Mr Gualtieri
I agree with the other positive reviewers on the series. It was fresher at the beginning, as most series are, and got a little stretched toward the end. However, the final book wrapped up the loose ends and presented it in a very satisfying read. The snark, the juvenile dick jokes, etc., remained and had me LOL in spots. Definitely one of the better satiric vampire series out there, and I would definitely recommend it to people who like a little humor with their fantasy. I'll miss Bill and friends, but I certainly enjoyed spending time with them.
